[haxe][nme] Install tool - nme lib path issue

bruno baudry
Hi there,

trying to give a NME a try, I'm stumbling on :

C:\Users\bbaudry\Documents\_TESTS\Actuate_Example\Actuate_Example>haxelib run nme test "Actuate Example.nmml" cpp
haxelib run hxcpp Build.xml haxe -Dactuate -Dcpp -Dhaxe_207 -Dnme -Dnme_install_tool -Dtrue
Setting environment for using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 x86 tools.
'C:\Motion-Twin\haxe\lib\nme\3'
n'est pas reconnu en tant que commande interne ou externe, un programme exécutable ou un fichier de commandes.*
Called from ? line 1
Called from InstallTool.hx line 384
Called from InstallTool.hx line 70
Called from installers/InstallerBase.hx line 102
Called from installers/DesktopInstaller.hx line 103
Called from data/Icons.hx line 333
Called from InstallTool.hx line 205
Uncaught exception - Error running: C:\Motion-Twin\haxe\lib\nme\3,0,0\ndll\Windows\ReplaceVistaIcon.exe Export/cpp/windows/bin//MyApplication.exe Export/cpp/windows/haxe/icon.ico.

*not recognised as an intern or extern command, exe prog or command files

Looks like nme's path gets truncated when pushed to the defines var.
So i guess I can try debuging, but as it's my first attempt, before messing up with the code I'd rather ask the masters.

Cheers

BB

Hey Bruno,

I'll take a look and see if I can find the issue. This seems to be specific to the icon generation script for Windows. It worked previously, but this seems to have popped up just before NME 3 was released on haxelib.

Please feel free to move forward with "flash" instead of "cpp", and I'll see if I can find the problem.

Have a great day!

Hi,
The problem is that the "system" command does not like unquoted commas in
the exe name.

You can copy the whole nme 3,0,0 tree off somewhere nicer, and use haxelib
dev nme ... so set it,
or copy the new "run.n" from:

http://code.google.com/p/nekonme/source/browse/#svn%2Ftrunk

over the top of the one in
C:\Motion-Twin\haxe\lib\nme\3,0,0\run.n

Hey Hugh,

Do you think you could publish NME 3.0.0, with this fix, over the top of
the old one?

That way the version number can stay the same, but new users won't have
this issue
