can't get Hydrax to build

Raoul Duke
hi,

i checked out the project today. running the default stuff doesn't
work for me, i was hoping for some insights. things i've had trouble
with, with several that seem like "how could they have worked for
anybody else?!"

(a) you have to manually haxelib install the various libs that are
needed in the build.hxml files.
(b) the version of xmltest specified in build.hxml isn't the latest,
does that matter?
(c) some of the pb files are missing imports e.g.
src/com/pblabs/util/ds/maps/HashableMap.hx apparently needs "import
com.pblabs.utils.ds.Map".
(d) the build.hxml files are missing "-lib hsl-1"
(e) i get errors about js:
haxe build.hxml
/usr/lib/haxe/lib/hsl-1/1,5/hsl/js/translating/JSSignaler.hx:29:
characters 0-14 : You can't access the js package with current
compilation flags (for js.Dom)

!?!?!?
help :-}
thanks from a haxe newbie!

Yeah, I'm dogfooding hydrax for a game project at the moment, so it's not surpising that some of the demos don't work.

Yes.  Is there a better alternative?  Should I package all the needed libraries with hydrax?

Yes, the last 4 or 5 versions of xmltest try to optimise different aspects.  But I'm thinking of ditching it, and just using the plain haxe version for now, even though it's slow, as it will be simpler.

I will fix that asap.

I will update hydrax, and make sure all the demos included are working next week, plus possibly add some more useful demos.

No problem, feel free to send me any questions.

I'll email you next week when I have all the demos working.

Put hydrax on haxelib, then set the dependencies in haxelib.xml would be perfect ;)

Best,
Andy

Hydrax is now released to haxelib.  All included demos work (flash and js).
