Need your best haXe work

Nathan Rixham
Hi All,

I've been asked to submit an article to a big flash site / marketplace
about haxe (they want to do a spotlight on it), basically just showing
off what it can do.

as such please do reply with any links to work done in haXe that really
shows it off or is visually appealing, focus will be towards flash devs
and designers.

this could/should bring in a lot of interest and new skilled dev's into
the community - and don't worry it's not just me, Lee's going to be
writing it too <thank god>

regards all,

nathan

Our two most complete projects (graphics, sounds, etc.) are:

http://wiki.disemia.com/Squix

and

http://wiki.disemia.com/Palisaro

Both action-like games.

Or most integrated/complete site is:

http://BigTPoker.com/

Probably the single free complex photo gallery in haxe: www.imagin.ro
Basically i can export all that different products at once because they share the same sources, so this is something that haxe can do.

I'm still optimizing, but for now:

http://impiety.simn.de/blast/Fluids.swf

1. Click + drag to add some blue crosses
2. Hit spacebar
3. Click + drag again to ...

Requires Flash Player 10 and relies heavily on flash.Memory API, so it
would not have been possible without haXe. :)

Next up is bilinear interpolation to make this look less pixelized...

I'm still optimizing, but for now:

Three casino games at:
http://www.regencycasinos.gr/Gaming/GamePoker/Poker.aspx
http://www.regencycasinos.gr/Gaming/GameBlackJack/BlackJack.aspx
http://www.regencycasinos.gr/el-GR/Gaming/GameRoulette/Roulette.aspx
use rc/rc to enter if you hate registrations.

Those were programmed by me in HaXe/Flash9. Design/layout by xero.gr.
Also the main menu of the site was in HaXe/Flash8.
This was my try of HaXe almost a year ago.
Since then I only go to Flash when I am forced to do so.
(please, don't ask me why the site navigation is in flash.
All I could do to save the situation was to add a 'Site Index' at the
bottom.)

The next big job was http://www.honda.gr/cars/.
and recently http://www.everest.com.gr/ , a work that I don't
really like cause underneath it was kind of quick and dirty.

Also a number of banners, games for field promotion
and smaller sites like http://conn-x-tshirt.gr/.
I can't really think all of them.

The bottom line is that moving to HaXe is a risk.
You don't know what to expect and taking that rick when dealing with
timelines is not easy.
As for me, HaXe was all I was hoping and more. it quickly gain my trust.

HaXe's strict nature allows me to work big projects and still be in control,
while the compiler gives me useful error messages whenever I do a mistake
(and I tent to do a lot).

Sure, here you go:
http://impiety.simn.de/blast/FluidSolver.hx

Here's my sample application:
http://impiety.simn.de/blast/Main.hx

Which now produces this:
http://impiety.simn.de/blast/Fluids2.swf

All this is a pretty straightforward implementation of Jos Stam's paper
that can be found here:
http://www.dgp.toronto.edu/people/stam/reality/Research/pdf/GDC03.pdf

Let me know if you find any part I could optimize (or if you know how to
do a fast bilinear interpolation in flash player).
