HaXe jobs in Sydney and London

David Peek-2

Dear Haxe Community,

Massive Interactive is about to undertake several large scale high profile UI projects that will leverage the multi-platform capabilities of HaXe. In preparation we are looking to expand our development teams in both Sydney and London. We're looking for talented HaXe UI developers with in depth knowledge of any/all of the JS, SWF and CPP targets.

I imagine a large percentage of this list love HaXe but don't often get to use it in their day-to-day work. This is your chance to work in a language you love full-time on technically challenging and rewarding projects that will be used by millions.

It's difficult to sound objective about the job I love, but here goes:

  • We work on large scale, long term, well funded, well managed projects.
  • We take process very seriously - Agile, TDD, CI, QA etc.
  • We build applications for every device imaginable: PCs, tablets, mobiles, connected TVs, game consoles, in flight entertainment systems and more.
  • We take the time to build applications that are stable, tested, documented and performant.
  • We have a great user experience and design team that understands developers.
  • We love HaXe and want it to succeed (http://tinyurl.com/4yvrzlb)
  • We love open source and want to give back to the community (http://lib.haxe.org/p/munithttp://lib.haxe.org/p/mlib)
  • We have a commercial UI SDK and tool chain written entirely in HaXe.
  • We don't build websites, we build web enabled applications.
  • We work with hight profile clients around the world.
  • We encourage and support professional growth.
  • We take considered risks on emerging technologies.

You'd be joining a team of ten passionate HaXe developers with backgrounds in JavaScript/HTML and Flash. We'd love you to work on site in our Sydney or London offices (we can even sponsor you), but if this isn't an option we'd still love to hear from you. Experience with multiple platforms, languages and devices is highly desirable. Further details are available on our website: http://www.massiveinteractive.com/hiring/UIDeveloper

If you're interested, please contact me off list with your CV/portfolio at (david.peek at massiveinteractive.com)

I look forward to hearing from you,

Sounds Exciting -

If i wasnt planning on going to the snow soon, i'd love to put my hand up. Are you looking solely for full-timers or also freelancers? when are your projects commencing, is it soon, or later in the year?

cheers
Tony

Hi,

We need full timers ideally – the projects will require familiarity with our SDK and tool chain so we'd rather people stick around once they've figured them all out ;) Send your details/availability through all the same, it's always good to have options. The projects are starting soon but I'm sure we'll be looking for developers for a while.

All the best,
David

Hi David,
I am interested and available for the team in London.

My expertise has  been acquired autodidactically and improved during my
long term practice
providing web services in Germany since 1997.
Please notice my personal summary regarding the details.

I'd like to add a link to two of my most recent  HaXe based creations:

an in-house CMS site <http://paradiseprojects.de> with  flash front-end.
and a js only shop at http://cellamella.de/Shop.html (German only)

Currently I am involved in the start-up of an outsourcing software
company in Kenya and Ghana and therefore will have to travel a lot.
I am ready to relocate and work on-site in London when required if the
position generally allows me to work remotely from any location.
In the long term this kind of global cooperation might have a useful
feedback into your team as well. If you'd like to consider my application
I remain looking forward to meet for a first Interview on Skype to talk
more.
Because of my poor English and being pretty much hard of hearing calling
on Skype is recommended since it will be possible to ask for
typing critical information in case I don't get something well acoustically.

Cordially,
Axel Huizinga
