Nicolas Cannasse
Hi,

Thanks to Laurent Kappler, "hx" files are now recognized by GitHub.
Is anybody willing to help with submitting a lexer for haXe ? This is a
small Python script that is responsible for syntax highlighting

See http://dev.pocoo.org/projects/pygments/report/1 , as well as sources
from other similar languages.

Best,
Nicolas

It seems a lexer exists already and has been accepted into pygments v1.3

http://dev.pocoo.org/projects/pygments/ticket/444

Maybe we would only need to wait for the official 1.3 release to get
haxe syntax highlighting into github.

Please let me know if I've missed any syntactical constructs in the lexer =).

Re: [haXe] GitHub

Laurent Kappler
I show them the ticket and they replied:

Yeah, just open a new ticket here when they merge in the HaXe highlighting and we can deploy it.

sweet,
Laurent

Just in case this escaped notice, the lexer was merged into main about
2 months ago.

Nice. haXe is not listed there yet http://pygments.org/languages/, maybe
we will have to wait an actual stable release before that. Does .hx
highlighting is turned on on github already ?

Re: GitHub

Owen Durni-3
Laurent seemed to think that a ticket (on github) needed to be filed
for them to upgrade to pygments trunk. (see earlier in the thread)
